Why Bharti Airtel stock is trading downwards?


1. Bharti Airtel is a blue chip stock which is trading down due the the spread of the news that its CEO Manoj Kohli has sold his entire holding of 1.2 Lac shares in the company on March 6 and Mar 9 due to personal reasons and since uncertainity is invoved in the reason thus market has taken a downward path for the stock.

However nothing to fear as Bharti Aritel is doing good for itself as it has declared an addition of 2.73 Million new subscribers in the month of February 2009 which means that Bharti Airtel holds a market share of 32.88% as at the end of the Feb 2009. Vodafone Essar holds a market share of 23.79% with a subscriber base of 65.92mn subscribers and BSNL holds 15.94% of the GSM market with 44.18mn customers and Idea is holding a market share of 14.98% at 41.51mn.
