2. India has gone a bit down in companies standing as last year we had 48 companies and this year we are left with 47 companies. The ranking of companies is based on sales, profit, assets and market value.
3. According to the list, General Electric is the world’s largest company followed by Dutch oil and gas major Royal Dutch Shell, Japan’s Toyota Motor, ExxonMobil and the U.K.’s BP. Despite slowdown in USA, it has highest companies in its list with h 551 companies forming part of the list. Japan follows US with 100 companies, China and UK share the third oplace with 94 companies. Other major contributing countries on the list include France (72), Germany (57), Italy (41), Australia (44), Korea (61), Brazil (31) and Austria (13).
